Aine McCafferty

Energy & Compliance Manager

As an Energy & Compliance Manager, Aine helps clients to develop and implement their strategic energy plans. She has delivered compliance services for mandatory schemes including ESOS and SECR, as well as voluntary schemes including CCAs. Aine has a background in engineering and is a CIBSE ESOS Lead Assessor and Heat Networks Consultant.

Dr Alison Stowell

Senior Lecturer, Department: Organisation Work and Technology

Alison joined Lancaster University in 2014, prior to moving into academia; she worked in both public and private sector organisations. Alison has worked at the Crown Prosecution Service, IBM and as a Senior Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University. She is an accredited IBM IT Specialist and has held multiple roles during the time spent working there. These roles included Technical Support, Service Management and Service Operations. Alison's research interests focus on social and organisational responses to the challenges of waste. Specific areas of interest include: Organisation and management responses, waste policy, negotiating values attributed to waste and waste as a particular type of work. She is the Associate Director for Corporate Relations in the Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business, Co-Principal Investigator - Plastic Packaging in People’s Lives and Co-organizer for Re-opening the bin – Waste, economy, culture and society.

Alan Fordham

Commercial Director

Alan is Commercial Director of SystemsLink where he is leading their continued growth with SystemsLink’s sophisticated software solutions. Alan has 20 years’ industry experience across several sectors of the industry, including senior positions at a major supplier, where he was responsible for clients such as Ford Motor Company, BAE Systems and Saint Gobain. Alan has vast experience working with Consultants and large customers with bespoke or complex requirements.

Andrew Stubbs

Director of Compliance & Reporting Services

Andrew has over 20 years’ experience in the UK energy consultancy industry across both customer facing and operational roles. He has experience across procurement including Power/Gas Purchase Agreements and background in data analysis and producing high quality reporting across several areas to meet customer needs. Andrew has extensive knowledge of compliance services including SECR, ESOS and the levy exemption schemes. He is responsible for ensuring the delivery of compliance and reporting services across the group.

Ben MacFarlane

Senior Energy Market Analyst

Ben brings a wealth of quantitative experience to the sector, having completed an Astrophysics Ph.D specialising in probabilistic numerical modelling. Ben affords insightful analysis of trends within global equity, FOREX and commodity markets, whilst developing cutting-edge risk management tools for flexible procurement strategies.

Bridget Legg

Client Optimisation Manager

Bridget holds a BEng in Renewable Energy Systems and Research Development. She is an accredited CIBSE ESOS Lead Assessor and CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant.

Craig Stephenson MIWFM

Manager, Corporate Services & EMEA Travel

Craig is the Manager, Corporate Services & EMEA Travel for John Wiley & Sons. He is oversees corporate travel for the EMEA region, fleet vehicles, utilities management and currently involved in several projects at work, one of which is to measure carbon output at John Wiley & Sons and to investigate ideas for further reducing their carbon footprint.

Claire Markham

Director: Sustainability & Renewable Energy

Claire has amassed over 25 years’ experience in the energy industry – and added a Master’s degree in Engineering & Design Management along the way. Claire has undertaken investment grade studies for a wide range of sustainable technologies. Her experience also includes managing the energy trading needs of a portfolio of renewable energy assets.

Dan Crowe

Head of Carbon Services

Dan helps customers comply with carbon-related legislation, develop cost effective net-zero strategies and make the most of schemes such as CDP, Science Based Targets and ESOS. He has 15 years’ of energy & carbon management experience and has worked with many of the UK’s largest brands and energy users.

Dave Phillips

Project Manager

With a degree in Economics and a background in Energy Cost Analysis, Dave enjoys looking into situations that initially do not make sense and finding refunds for clients as a result. In his role at Inspired Energy, he makes savings for clients by altering their Agreed Supply Capacity, so it is more in line with their peak Maximum Demand. More recently, Dave’s role has developed due to the Targeted Charging Review, which is directly related to a Client’s Agreed Supply Capacity on their electricity supplies.

David Cockshott

Chief Commercial Officer

With over 30 years’ experience of the Energy Industry, David is a commercial leader with a strong focus on sales and customer facing activity. Leading industrial & commercial as well as domestic energy markets, David is well known in the Energy Industry as a respected subject matter expert and was at the very centre of the industry move to flexible contracts, leading the development of new and innovative supply contracts. Having previously held director level roles with npower, Inenco and challenger supplier Smartest energy, David is well positioned to understand the industry, its customers and the personalities therein.

Dorian Lucas

Senior Energy Risk Manager

Dorian has devised and implemented bespoke trading strategies for some of the UK’s largest businesses. He has an in-depth knowledge of UK and EU supply/demand fundamentals as well as holding a qualification from the Society of Technical analysts which enables him to provide an in-depth view of wholesale energy prices across the UK and Europe. Dorian manages the flexible purchasing and risk management for some of Inspired Energy’s largest Energy Intensive customers and specialises in devising and implementing bespoke trading solutions for his clients.

Emma Hird

Client Optimisation Manager

Emma is a key member of Inspired Energy’s Optimisation division, with responsibility for delivering compliance with SECR and ESOS as well as a variety of energy management services. She has significant training and experience in energy auditing and analysis and has provided many clients with fully managed energy and compliance programmes. Emma has published articles on energy management in leading industry magazines and achieved ISO 14001 EMS accreditation for Inspired Energy.

Georgina Penfold

Director: Regulated Services

With a background in energy management, George looks after the Regulated Services division at Inspired Energy, providing customer solutions to help comply with standards and regulation, including compliance with the Public Contract Regulations and ISO14001. She has over 10 years’ experience of delivering compliant and pragmatic carbon reduction solutions for the public sector and is a well-known industry commentator. Georgina has been described by clients as “one of the most trusted voices in the utilities sector today” and is actively involved in improvement discussions with government, regulators and other key agencies.

Harinder Sandhu

Director, Sustainable Advisory Group

Hari has a pedigree of partnering with small to medium sized companies as portfolio manager and advisor. With 27 years’ experience in asset management including roles at UBS, Société Générale Asset Management and Man Group, Hari has established himself in maximising the opportunities that ESG brings to the industry. Most recently, he directed ESG & CSR at River and Mercantile Group, where he successfully integrated ESG into the corporate culture: enhancing corporate policies and internal processes, aligning ESG management and accountability, and promoting a greater focus on stewardship activities and engagement. In a prior role as senior portfolio manager at LGPS Central, Hari was responsible for global active equities; managing a team of investment professionals as well as portfolios for global and regional funds and developing new sustainable fund strategies. At Shore Capital Hari heads the Shore Capital Markets Sustainable Advisory Group, a dedicated in-house team assisting Corporate clients in minimising ESG related risk and maximising opportunities.

Helen Barnet

Optimisation Manager

As an Optimisation Manager, Helen helps customers comply with carbon related legislation and tax exemptions including CCA, MinMet and EII schemes. She also supports the implementation of energy efficiency projects including ESOS and helps develop net-zero strategies. Helen has 10 years of energy and carbon management experience and has worked with many of the UK’s largest companies and energy users. In previous roles, Helen has worked in the management of strategic energy portfolios which runs hand in hand with offering customers insight into the whole energy market.

Jamie Tabord

Director: Site Services

With over 13 years' experience in the delivery of energy services relating to infrastructure and environmental subsidies. Jamie's background includes retrospective auditing of utility invoices.

Judith Stroehle

Senior Research Fellow at the Saïd Business School in Oxford and Programme Lead of the Oxford Rethinking Performance Initiative

Judith Stroehle is a Senior Research Fellow at the Saïd Business School in Oxford and Programme Lead of the Oxford Rethinking Performance Initiative. Judith’s research focusses on how tools of finance, accounting, and reporting can help to implement responsible business. Her recent work explores issues related to the measurement of corporate purpose, including the benefits and challenges of non-financial metrics and accounting, sustainable investing and ESG engagement strategies, and the relationships between diverse sets of frameworks, standards and methods. Judith teaches Accounting and Responsible Business and co-established the Oxford Impact Roundtable for sustainability reporting and accounting in 2018. Judith holds a doctoral degree (PhD Europeaus) in Economics and Sociology for which she examined the Auditability of Social Standards in Global Supply Chains in cooperation with the International Labour Office (ILO). Judith engages and works with several non-profits, companies and asset managers on their non-financial strategies, reporting and measurement practices.

Kevin Jackson

Head of Social Value

Starting working life as an Electrical Engineering Apprentice in Industry 1984, Kevin first became involved in Energy Management and Energy Procurement with the 1MW Deregulation in 1990. Since then, Kevin has helped develop and optimise the delivery of energy procurement, energy efficiency and carbon management services to local authorities, Housing providers, Education organisations and Utility providers. Kevin joined Inspired Energy in 2020 as Head of Social Value and is responsible for the co-ordination and development of not only Inspired’s Social Value, but also that of the Framework suppliers.

Liam Reed

Director of Technical Services

Liam is Director of Technical Services, managing a team of engineers, analysts and designers implementing low carbon and renewable energy systems. He has been working in the renewables sector for over 13 years and has successfully designed and managed the installation of hundreds of successful schemes. Liam has significant experience with heat networks, the installation of renewable heat and onsite generation systems.

Mark Dickinson

CEO

Mark Dickinson is CEO of Inspired Energy plc. Mark is an energy consultancy specialist with over 20 years’ experience of developing and advising companies in the sector. Mark was CEO of M&C Energy Group where he led the buy and build strategy completing four acquisitions before selling the company to Schneider Electric in 2012. He brings significant industry knowledge and has a Masters in Finance from the London Business School where he was voted Accomplished Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012.

Matthew Dowdeswell

Innovation Manager

Matthew is an accomplished innovation manager and engineer with over 22 years’ experience in the energy and telecoms sectors. He has worked at many of the leading energy consultancies and in 2020 finished a Master of Science degree in Renewable Energy Systems Technologies at Loughborough University.

Nick Campbell

Director: Energy Intensive Clients

Nick has managed flexible energy procurement solutions for some of the largest organisations in the UK, specialising in market analysis, energy trading and strategy. He is a frequent media commentator in leading national publications, has a Masters in Energy and is FCA accredited.

Peter Cork

Segment Lead – Medium Business Sales

Peter has worked in the electricity industry for 25 years, starting his career with SWEB and now working for EDF. In his current role, Peter is accountable for the management of the segment sales action plan, including external regulatory assumptions and market fundamentals. He works closely with the medium segment sales teams, supporting them in understanding changes which will impact their customers or channel partners and ensuring their suite of fixed price products are market leading.

Rebecca Hermolle

Senior Energy Risk Manager

Since gaining a BSc in Economics, Rebecca has amassed a great deal of experience in the energy industry and now specialises in the technical analysis of wholesale energy markets. She holds a diploma from the Society of Technical Analysts (STA). Her experience is invaluable in helping her clients to take advantage of price falls and protect their energy budgets against cost spikes. Having developed and managed procurement strategies for several manufacturers and energy intensive users, Rebecca has a deep understanding of the procurement and management challenges faced by organisations looking to optimise their energy procurement.

Richard Howitt

Strategic Advisor on Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, Business and Human Rights

Richard has been a leading voice on corporate responsibility, during a career spanning international politics and business. In a distinguished twenty-year period as a Member of the European Parliament, Richard served as Rapporteur on Corporate Social Responsibility. He is known as the key architect of the EU’s Non-Financial Reporting Directive, described as the foremost legislation internationally on corporate transparency. Subsequently, Richard has completed a three year-term as Chief Executive Officer at the International Integrated Reporting Council, driving reform of corporate reporting with its global coalition of businesses, investors and regulators. Richard participated in the development of the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in the UN Human Rights Council, was an adviser to the OECD in its update of the Guidelines on Multinational Enterprise and a member of the B20 Business Leaders’ group advising G20 Governments, serving on its Energy and Climate and its Integrity Task Forces. He has travelled and spoken extensively throughout the world, including at the Rio+20 UN Summit on Sustainable Development, the World Economic Forum and the World Investment Forum. He currently is a Board member at both the Eiris Foundation and the think-tank r3.0, is Strategic Advisor on Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability and Senior Associate at the public interest law firm, Frank Bold.

Rob Clark

Head of Public Services

Rob has over 25 years’ experience working in Local Authorities and Private/Public partnerships, with specific focus on energy, data management and decarbonisation. Over this period of time, he led on many projects ranging from early smart meter adoption to establishing a solar/storage Community Energy organisation. In 2020, Rob became Inspired Energy’s Head of Public Services. In this role, Rob is able to bring his extensive public and energy sectoral knowledge to help ensure that customers maximise the benefits of working with Inspired Energy.

Rob Leak

Director: Energy Solutions

Director of Energy Solutions, Rob successfully manages a team of energy consultants responsible for delivering energy solutions and compliance services, including ESOS, CCAs, CRC and now SECR. He has been providing independent utilities advice and support to businesses for over 25 years, specialising in onsite generation along with energy and carbon reduction projects.

Robbie Howlett

Energy and Environment Manager

As Environment and Energy Manager, Robbie works closely with clients to provide practical advice and support on analysing current energy usage and developing energy management plans, in line with their energy/business requirements. He is responsible for the design and delivery of technical services to support clients with carbon reduction goals, energy management and legislative requirements (including SECR, ESOS, Climate Change Agreements, Levy Exemption Schemes, EPBD and Energy/Environmental Management Systems).

Rosemary De Vos

Director of Client Management, Inspired Energy

Rosemary is leading on Client Management for ESG at Inspired Energy PLC after gathering over 20 years’ professional experience, most recently, in the sustainability arena for FTSE100 companies and Non-Profit Organisations, and from previous senior roles in the international supply chain and logistics sector. Rosemary’s principal activity is driving ESG reporting and TCFD disclosure forward for the group’s existing and new clients in both the private and public sector while fully supporting every client on their business transformation path to Net Zero. This includes working on a range of effective and sustainable end-to-end ESG solutions that deliver extra-financial returns, including carbon emissions reductions, verifiable environmental benefits and lasting social value enabling clients to focus on their business strategy and investor relations as their priorities.

Sangita Shah

Non-Executive Chair of Bilby plc and RA International plc, lead board director of NASDAQ listed Forward Industries Inc. and a director of Global Reach Technology EMEA Limited

Sangita Shah is the non-executive Chair of AIM traded Bilby plc and RA International plc, lead board director of NASDAQ listed Forward Industries Inc. and a director of Global Reach Technology EMEA Limited.

Sangita has extensive experience in corporate finance, journalism and senior consultancy. She has held a number of senior roles within blue chip organisations, including Unilever, Mars, Ernst & Young and KPMG, was a former board director of Swindon Town FC and a past President of the Chartered Institute of Journalists. She has consulted to a number of organisations that include HM Cabinet Office, HSBC and other blue chip companies.

Sangita is a qualified accountant and a frequent keynote Chair and speaker in forums for the Windsor Leadership Trust and in the past the European Parliament.

Winston Cuthbert

Director of ESG Solutions

Winston is an experienced ESG director focused on data capture, mandatory disclosures, voluntary reporting; net zero carbon strategy design and implementation. Demonstrable commitment to SDG and IPCC; GRI and IIRC. He is responsible for development and delivery of ESG Solutions, management of experienced team and support for Inspired Energy plc’s internal ESG needs. Product and service delivery includes ESG data management, regulatory and voluntary disclosure and impact delivery. Key focus in on technology-enabled solutions for effective ESG data and disclosure management, including ESOS, SECR, GRESB, TCFD, EU Taxonomy, GRI and CDP.
