What is SECR?

Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) is a mandatory annual requirement for around 12,000 UK organisations, designed to help increase awareness of energy costs and provide data to adopt energy efficient measures to reduce climate change. SECR reporting can even help form part of your net zero strategy.

The regulations are enforced by the department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) who apply financial penalties for organisations that fail to submit the report, miss the deadline or report inaccurately.
